I have an existing e-commerce store, can I still join?

Yes, we welcome you to join us even if you have an existing e-commerce store or an e-store on other online marketplaces. However, our terms and conditions with SE partners or sellers disallow them to price their products on ACTSmarket higher than on any of their other e-stores.

Additionally, we do not allow fee avoidance activities on ACTSmarket such as selling directly to potential customers or customers of ACTSmarket when the latter are able to contact SE vendors by viewing their Shops on ACTSmarket.  When found to engage in fee avoidance activities, ACTSmarket will remove the partner from our marketplace.

Other examples of fee avoidance activities (not exhaustive) are :-

  1. Encouraging shoppers to purchase the same items listed in your ACTSmarket shop from another online selling venue.
  2. Posting an announcement in an empty shop that directs shoppers to another online selling venue.
  3. Completing a transaction off ACTSmarket after it has been initiated on the site
Why did I not receive any response after submitting an application to be an ACTSmarket vendor?

Please kindly allow 1 week of processing time for us to get back to you on your application. However, should you not receive any response from us after 1 week, please ensure that your email spam and junk filters recognize [email protected] as a safe contact so you can receive our email response.

What are the criteria for joining ACTSmarket as a vendor?

ACTmarket is looking to collaborate with partners that have the following profile:

  • You make, represent, or help people that make items in a needy community for a living.
  • If you are not a non-profit organization or charity, you have to be a member of a local social enterprise association or equivalent. If you do not have such an association in your country, then ACTSmarket will need to verify your status as a social enterprise in other ways.
  • You want to sell your items on a greater scale to a global market.
  • You have regular Internet access to maintain an online store.
  • You have the capacity to process and fulfill (make and ship) individual customer orders regularly.

What are the fees for joining ACTSmarket?

We seek to enable social entrepreneurs to set up their own e-store at no cost and in the easiest manner. However, we charge 12% commission based on every successful purchase transaction to further our operations as a business. Where do I need to be based in to join as an ACTSmarket vendor?

Technically, you can be based anywhere in the world to join our global online marketplace! However, one of our criteria is that you must have regular Internet access.

Additionally, in terms of order fulfilment, you need to be able to ship internationally. If you are unsure of what shipping options you have to reach global markets, feel free to drop us an email at [email protected] for consultation. Part of what ACTSmarket does with our partners is to give advice on international shipping options.


How do I get paid?

You will be paid  2 to 4 weeks after the shopper has received their product(s).  ACTSmarket will remit the money to your Singapore bank account or via PayPal (to your PayPal account).  All bank charges will be borne by the SE partner.

Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?

No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a shop.  In order to receive payments, you are required to set up a bank account in Singapore or appoint a marketing agent in Singapore.  If you do not have an agent, we can help you connect with some.  There is no listing fee but we charge 12% commission based on every successful purchase transaction to further our operations as a business.


What can I sell on ACTSmarket?

ACTSmarket provides a marketplace for needy communities to sell their handmade products or crafts. For information on what cannot be sold on ACTSmarket, please refer to our Prohibited and Restricted Items policies. Otherwise, items not stated in our policies may be sold on our website.
